"sort of" have access to color—I can see it is available, but I need to do more work to find it automatically. kml is a weird standard.

I have some experience in java, but not very much. I already got Google Earth API key for this domain, so that should be all set. I'm not sure how to access it, but it's there.

Since it looks like you're working the standards section, I'll do some work toward getting a "proof of concept" statistics calculation working, or at the very least I'll do enough research to know exactly what we need help with.
